Who We Are
We’re eight soup-obsessed people who believe comfort food shouldn’t require a culinary degree or specialty ingredients. What started as Olivia’s personal blog in 2022 has grown into a community serving 500,000+ monthly visitors who trust us with their family dinners. We’re not celebrity chefs—we’re recipe developers, testers, writers, and strategists who test every recipe three times in regular home kitchens using ingredients you can actually find at your local grocery store. We respond personally to every comment, admit when recipes fail, and genuinely care whether your Tuesday night dinner works out
Our Mission
Our mission is straightforward: to transform everyday ingredients into soul-warming bowls that actually fit into your busy life.
It all started on a freezing January evening when my daughter came home from college, completely burned out. She dropped her bags and said, “Mom, I just want something warm that makes me feel like myself again.”
I heated up a simple vegetable soup I’d made that weekend. As she wrapped both hands around that bowl, I watched the tension melt from her shoulders. That bowl of soup did what a thousand pep talks couldn’t: it brought her back to herself. That’s when SoupCozy was born.
Every single day, we’re in our kitchens testing recipes until they work for real families with real time constraints. We cook with ingredients you can find at your local grocery store. We test every recipe at least five times, and if it fails what we call the “Tuesday Night Test”—tired cook, hungry family, 30 minutes max—we start over. Because you’ve trusted us with your dinner plans, and that responsibility keeps us focused on what matters.
Our Purpose
I’ll never forget that Tuesday night. Two hungry kids, a meeting that ran late, and a hopelessly empty fridge. As I watched my kids eat cereal for dinner, I felt exhausted and guilty. I thought to myself, “There has to be a way to make healthy, comforting meals without it being a source of monumental stress.” That night, in the chaos of my own kitchen, the idea for SoupCozy was born. Not in a boardroom, but from a real mom’s real need.
Our Vision
We dream of a world where a healthy, comforting homemade meal isn’t a luxury or a feat, but a simple daily reality. A world where opening your fridge and knowing a delicious bowl of soup is waiting for you is the norm. Our vision is to put more warmth and less stress into your kitchen.
