Ingredients

Beef and Marinade
  • 1 pound beef (sirloin or flank steak), thinly sliced
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
Vegetables
  • 2 cups mixed vegetables (such as bell peppers, broccoli, and snap peas)
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, minced
Seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
For Serving
  • Cooked rice or noodles

Method

Preparation
  1. In a bowl, combine the sliced beef, soy sauce, oyster sauce, and cornstarch. Mix well and let it marinate for about 10 minutes.
Cooking
  1. Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large pan or wok over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the marinated beef and cook until browned, about 3-4 minutes. Remove the beef from the pan and set aside.
  2. In the same pan, add the remaining tablespoon of oil. Toss in the mixed vegetables, garlic, and ginger. Stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until the veggies are slightly tender but still crisp.
  3. Return the beef to the pan and stir to combine with the vegetables. Cook for an additional 2 minutes and season with salt and pepper to taste.
  4. Serve hot over cooked rice or noodles, and enjoy!
