Ingredients

For the Brownie Layer
  • 1 box brownie mix
For the Cheesecake Layer
  • 8 oz cream cheese Use room temperature for a smooth batter.
  • 1/2 cup sugar Adjustable based on preference.

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup caramel sauce Use quality caramel for best flavor.

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9-inch springform pan.
  2. Prepare the brownie mix as per package instructions and pour it into the bottom of the springform pan. Bake for 20 minutes.
Cheesecake Preparation
  1. In a bowl, beat together cream cheese, sugar, eggs, and vanilla until smooth.
  2. Pour the cream cheese mixture over the partially baked brownie layer.
  3. Drizzle caramel sauce and sprinkle chocolate chips on top.
  4. Bake for an additional 25-30 minutes until the cheesecake is set.
Cooling and Serving
  1. Allow to cool, then refrigerate for at least 4 hours before serving.
  2. Chill the cake well, then run a knife around the pan and release the springform.
  3. Slice with a hot, clean knife for neat pieces. Serve plain or add extra caramel, whipped cream, or a sprinkle of sea salt.
