Ingredients

Dough Ingredients
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 packet instant yeast
  • 1/2 cup warm milk Keep warm but not hot for yeast activation.
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
Filling Ingredients
  • 1 cup crushed chocolate cookies
  • 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips
Icing Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup cream cheese
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tablespoon milk For icing
  • Extra cookie crumbles For topping

Method

Preparation
  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, and instant yeast.
  2. In another bowl, mix warm milk, melted butter, and egg. Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and mix until a dough forms. Knead until smooth.
  3. Cover the dough and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
Baking
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Roll the dough out on a floured surface to about 1/4 inch thick. Spread crushed chocolate cookies and mini chocolate chips evenly over the dough.
  3. Roll the dough tightly into a log and slice into 12 equal pieces.
  4. Place the rolls in a greased baking dish and let them rise for another 30 minutes.
  5. Bake the rolls for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.
Icing
  1. To make the icing, mix cream cheese, powdered sugar, and milk until smooth.
  2. Once the rolls are out of the oven, drizzle the icing on top and sprinkle with extra cookie crumbles.

Notes
