  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Cinnamon Swirl Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 2 tablespoons ground cinnamon
  • 3 tablespoons melted butter
Glaze Ingredients
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons milk Add more if needed
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13 inch pan.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, mix milk, melted butter, egg, and vanilla.
  4. Pour wet mix into dry mix. Stir until smooth.
  5. Pour batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly.
  6. Mix brown sugar and cinnamon. Stir in melted butter to make a paste.
Cinnamon Swirling
  1. Drop spoonfuls of the cinnamon mixture over the batter.
  2. Use a knife to swirl the cinnamon through the batter.
Baking
  1. Bake 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick in the center comes out clean.
  2. Cool for 10 minutes.
  3. Mix glaze ingredients until smooth and drizzle over warm cake.
  4. Let cool a bit more, then slice and serve.

Notes
