  • 2 cans Canned French-style green beans Make sure to drain them well.
  • 6 slices Bacon Cook until crispy.
  • 1/2 cup Brown sugar Provides the sticky sweetness.
  • 1/4 cup Butter Melted.
  • 1/4 cup Soy sauce Use low-sodium if preferred.
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic powder

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Drain the canned green beans well.
  3. Cook bacon in a skillet until crispy, then chop or crumble it.
Assembly
  1. In a bowl, mix brown sugar, melted butter, soy sauce, and garlic powder.
  2. Toss the drained beans with the sauce.
  3. Stir in most of the bacon, saving some for the top.
Baking
  1. Put the bean mix in a baking dish.
  2. Sprinkle the reserved bacon on top.
  3. Bake for 20–25 minutes until hot and slightly bubbly.
  4. Serve warm.

Notes

Drain the cans well to avoid a watery dish. Cook bacon until very crispy for best texture. Use low-sodium soy sauce if you want less salt. If sauce is too thin, bake a few extra minutes to thicken. For a quicker option, you can heat the mix on the stove, but baking gives a better finish.
