Ingredients

For the Churro Bites
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/4 cup butter Can substitute with coconut oil for a dairy-free version
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 pieces eggs
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Oil for frying
For the Coating
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
For Serving
  • Nutella for dipping

Method

Preparation
  1. In a saucepan, combine water, butter, sugar, and salt over medium heat. Stir until melted and simmering.
  2. Add the flour and stir until a dough forms and pulls away from the sides of the pan.
  3. Let the dough cool slightly, then mix in the eggs and vanilla extract until smooth.
Frying
  1. Heat oil in a deep skillet over medium heat for frying.
  2. Pipe small rounds of dough into the hot oil, frying them until they are golden brown.
Coating and Serving
  1. In a bowl, combine the sugar and cinnamon for coating.
  2. Roll the warm churro bites in the cinnamon-sugar mixture.
  3. Serve warm with a side of Nutella for dipping.
