Ingredients

For the Brownies
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • Zest of 2 lemons
  • 1/2 cup fresh lemon juice
For the Glaze
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13 inch baking pan.
  2. In a large bowl, mix the melted butter and sugar until well combined.
  3. Add the eggs and vanilla extract and whisk until smooth.
  4. Stir in the flour, salt, lemon zest, and lemon juice until just combined.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly.
Baking
  1. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  2. While baking, prepare the glaze by mixing powdered sugar with lemon juice until smooth.
  3. Once the brownies are done, pour the glaze over the warm brownies and let cool before cutting into squares.
