  • 24 ounces Frozen tater tots
  • 1 cup Cheddar cheese, shredded Use sharp cheddar for better melt and flavor.
  • 1/2 cup Bacon bits Warm the bacon bits in the oven with the tots to keep them hot.
  • 1/2 cup Sour cream Offer extra on the side.
  • 1/4 cup Green onions, chopped For garnish.
  • to taste Salt Add lightly as bacon bits can be salty.
  • to taste Pepper Add lightly for flavor.

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven according to the tater tots package instructions.
  2. Spread the frozen tater tots on a baking sheet in a single layer.
  3. Bake until the tater tots are crispy and golden brown.
  4. Remove from the oven and sprinkle with cheddar cheese and bacon bits.
Finishing
  1. Return to the oven until the cheese is melted.
  2. Remove from the oven and drizzle with sour cream and garnish with chopped green onions.
Serving
  1. Serve warm on a large plate or tray, letting people scoop with small forks or toothpicks.
