Method
Preparation
Preheat your oven or air fryer to 400°F (200°C).

Cooking the Cheese Sauce

Once melted, whisk in the flour and cook for about 2 minutes until combined.
Gradually add the milk to the mixture, continuing to whisk constantly until smooth.
Stir in the salt, ground white pepper, ranch seasoning, and 1/4 teaspoon of cayenne powder.
Lower the heat to medium-low and cook, stirring occasionally, until the mixture thickens (about 5 minutes).
Once thickened, stir in the shredded cheese until it melts into a creamy sauce.
Assembly
Drizzle the cheese sauce generously over the cooked fries and serve immediately while warm.
