Ingredients

  • 4 cups Rice Chex cereal
  • 1 cup white chocolate chips Melted for coating
  • 1 cup strawberry cake mix Can substitute with vanilla cake mix and strawberry extract
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar For coating mixture
  • 1/2 cup sliced strawberries For added flavor
  • 1/4 cup butter Melted with white chocolate

Method

Preparation
  1. In a large bowl, measure out 4 cups of Rice Chex cereal and set it aside.
  2. In a microwave-safe bowl, melt 1 cup of white chocolate chips and 1/4 cup of butter together in 30-second increments, stirring until smooth.
  3. Pour the melted mixture over the cereal and gently stir to coat all the pieces evenly.
  4. In a separate bag or bowl, combine 1 cup of strawberry cake mix and 1/4 cup of powdered sugar.
  5. Add the coated cereal to the bag or bowl and shake until every piece is fully coated.
  6. Gently fold in 1/2 cup of sliced strawberries to add a fresh, fruity flavor.
  7. Spread the puppy chow out on a baking sheet to cool before serving.
